Be sure to write down this recipe for universal dough, it will help you when you want to make rolls or Strudels. I got this recipe from my mom, she always made sweet and salt rolls, scones and strudels according to this recipe. Follow instructions.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 1h 20 min.
250 ml of lukewarm milk
200 ml of lukewarm water/ 20
100 ml of oil
42 g fresh yeast/ 1 cube
1 Tbsp of granulated sugar
1 tsp of salt
1 kg white flour/ type 400 or 00
lemon peel/ grated — for strudel
Preparation:
Dissolve the sugar in lukewarm milk and crush the yeast. Mix and leave for 10 minutes in a warm place.
In a bowl, add lukewarm water, oil, rest of milk, 1/2 sifted flour and salt, pour over the yeast mixture, mix the dough with a wooden spoon.
Knead the dough and gradually add flour, to make the composition uniform and without lumps.
Form the smooth dough into a ball and let it rest for about 1 hour in a warm place, covered.
Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and fill and make shapes as desired.
The dough made in this way stays fresh for a couple of days after baking.

NOTE:
You can add grated lemon peel to the strudel.
If you want doughnuts, look at the recipe here, for them an egg is always added, as well as baking powder, grated lemon peel, and vanilla sugar to make the dough even softer.
