A Turkish delicacy that has left its mark in Serbia. One of the old and nice recipes for lokum-turkish delight is fantastic! Soft, beautiful treat that always goes with the morning coffee. It is very simple preparation. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 20 min
Mixture:
250 ml of orange juice
300 g of sugar
140 g corn starch
380 ml of water
3 Tbsp lemon juice
150 g of coarsely chopped walnuts
4 drops of yellow aniline color for cooking
To Roll
100 g corn starch
100 g of powdered sugar
Preparation:
Mixture:
Cook all ingredients until it thickens so that it does not fall off the spoon (until it boils for 10 minutes and another 4–5 minutes on low heat).
Add the walnuts and mix together.
Pour into a greased square pan (22 × 22 cm), cool to room temperature and leave to dry for 24 hours.
Cut into 3 cm cubes and shake in a baking pan. Cut again into two parts, arrange in a baking tray and leave at room temperature to dry for another 24 hours.
Roll:
Finally, roll in corn starch, then in powdered sugar.
Serve with coffee and enjoy!
You have noticed that everything is done at room temperature. If put in the fridge, it gets wet and there is no cure!
