Spaghetti with Mussels

  • Italian specialty of spaghetti with shellfish, very tasty and healthy dish, and easy to prepare and does not require much time, 30 minutes. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time 35 min. 4 servings
  • 400 g spaghetti

  • 650 g mussels

  • 4 cloves of garlic

  • 2 slices of lemon

  • 50 g parsley leaves

  • 4 hot pepper (but not very hot) :)

  • 450 g tomatoes

  • 85 ml oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preparation:
  1. You can use fresh or canned mussels to prepare spaghetti with mussels. If you use fresh mussels, clean them well with a sharp knife and sponge, put them in a deeper pan, pour water over them, and cook until the shells open. Discard any shell that has not opened. You can use canned food right away.

  2. Pour water and a little oil into a deeper pan, then bring to a boil, add the spaghetti, and cook. Strain the spaghetti, rinse with cold water, and set aside.

Spaghetti sauce with mussels:

  1. Peel and finely chop the garlic.

  2. Heat half the oil to put the onion, and fry over low heat until it changes color.

  3. Add finely chopped hot peppers and peeled and sliced ​​tomatoes, cook for about 5 minutes.

  4. Squeeze the lemon and finely chop the primrose.

  5. 4. In the wok pan with the sauce, add the mussels, parsley, lemon juice, spaghetti, the remaining oil, and a little water, and simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

  6. Season the spaghetti with the mussels with salt and pepper, mix everything and serve warm. Buon appetito!
