Economical dessert, very tasty and soft roll with jam, easy to prepare. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 45 min.
5 eggs/ room temperature
10 Tablespoons of sugar
1 bag vanilla sugar/ 10 g
10 Tablespoons soft flour
1 bag baking powder/10 g
1/2 grated lemon peel
350 g jam / strawberry, cherry, raspberry
For sprinkle powdered sugar
Preparation:
Mix well with a mixer: eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar until foamy. After that, add lemon peel and sift flour mixed with baking powder. Stir with spatula in a compact mixture without lumps.
After that, grease the pan and place baking paper, pour the mixture over it, spread it evenly and level it. Shake the pan a little to release the air.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190 °C for about 12–14 minutes. When the sponge cake is ready, leave it to cool for about 20 minutes.
Place a cloth on workspace to transfer the cake with baking paper, roll it up and let it rest for 20 minutes. After that, spread with jam as desired, and let it cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired. Cut into thin slices with a sharp knife.
You can also make the glaze from chocolate, using steam way bein-marie. For this, you will need 60 g of chocolate and 1 level spoon of oil. If you make the glaze with chocolate, use apricot or orange jam, to make the roll more decorative you can sprinkle it with hazelnuts or add orange rings.
