Simple Rice Pudding

  • If you've got a craving for something sweet, and you don't have certain ingredients for that dessert at home, here's a wonderful recipe that's simple and healthy and everyone has these ingredients. It is quick to prepare and very simple. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: cup measure 150 ml, simple, total time:30 min., 2 servings
  • 1 cup of rice/ washed

  • 2 cups of water

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 4 Tbsp of granulated sugar

  • cinnamon to taste

  • 2 small bowls for dessert/ bath in water

Preparation:
  1. Clean, and wash rice under a running of cold water.

  2. Cook the rice in 2 cups of water with occasionally stirring on moderate heat.

  3. When the water boils completely, reduce the temperature (to 2) then pour 1 cup of milk.

  4. When it boils again, add another cup of milk and 4 spoon of sugar.

  5. Cook on low heat for about 15-18 minutes.

  6. Stir occasionally, wait for so that the rice swells, then remove it from the heat, there must be a little liquid in the pot.

  7. Wash the bowls with water beforehand.

  8. Pour hot mixture into bowls.

  9. Cool to room temperature then transfer to refrigerator, sprinkle cold dessert with cinnamon to taste.

NOTE:

  • If you need to double the quantities for 4 servings, the cup I used is a 150 ml coffee cup.

  • I personally do not like glutinous rice and I cook it for a long time because it is difficult to digest if it is too soft.

  • Keep portions in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

  • Rinse the bowl with water before pouring this mixture.

  • Smaller shaped bowls were used for puddings or desserts.
