Simple Poppy Seeds Filling for Dessert

  •  A wonderful poppy filling simple recipe for all kinds of pastries, cakes, pies, and strudels and even biscuits. It's easy to prepare and ready in just 20 minutes. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 20 min.
  • 250 g poppy seeds/ ground

  • 150-170 ml milk

  • 1 bag vanilla sugar

  • 4 Tbsp granulated sugar

  • (You can add jam of plums, raisins depending of dessert)

Preparation:
  1. Pour milk, sugar, vanilla sugar into a small saucepan and wait until it heats up and the sugar melts.

  2. After that, add poppy seeds and mix constantly until the filling becomes thick.

  3. Cook from boiling for another 3 minutes.

  4. Turn off and leave the filling to cool.

  5. After that do coating.

  6. You can fill pastries, biscuits, strudels, cakes, pies and even pancakes with this filling.

NOTE:

  • This is the amount for 1 strudel or for two smaller strudels, depending on how much you need, increase the ingredients.

  • You can keep this filling in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in a jar or in a cream container.

  • You can freeze them and store them for up to 2 months in a special container with a lid.
