A simple and quick dessert chestnut purée with whipped cream. It is quick and easy to prepare. With just a few ingredients, you will have a wonderful treat. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 70 min. 6 serving
500 g chestnut/ peeled
2 bag vanilla sugar/ 20 g
2-3 Tbsp granulated sugar
100-130 ml sweet cream
whipped cream/ or chocolate topping for decoration
Preparation:
Wash and cut the chestnuts, put them in a pot, cover with water, soak them and cook for 30 minutes from the moment it boils.
Cool it and peel it. Also remove the thin membrane that is under the shell because that membrane has a slightly stronger taste.
Mash the peeled chestnuts with a potato masher or grind them in a blender.
Add sugar and gradually pour the cream until you get the desired thickness.
Note that the chestnut purée will be firmer when it stands because chestnuts contain a lot of starch, more so than potatoes.
When serving in a cup, you can decorate this treat with whipped cream, also with chocolate topping.

Keep the chestnut purée in a bowl. If necessary, take out and pour into cups.
Keep for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
