Scallops au gratin with Pomelo

  • Scallops gratin with pomelo is an exceptional and special meal with these exotic fruits. Pomelo is a well-known fruit in Italy and has been consumed for a long time, especially by the male population. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 30 min. 2 servings
  • 8 scallops

  • 50 g breadcrumbs

  • 1 clove of garlic/ finely chopped

  • 1 Pomelo

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil EVO

  • 1 pinch of salt and pepper

Preparation:
  1. Wash and grate the pomelo and squeeze out the juice. In a deep, small bowl, put the crumbs, finely chopped garlic, and add the juice and zest of the pomelo.

  2. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Wash the scallops carefully with the soft part facing forward.

  4. Fill the scallops with the filling and arrange them in a greased oven tray with olive oil. During baking, pour over with broth.

  5. Bake at 200 °C for about 10–15 minutes.

  6. Serve warm.
