Sauerkraut with Dried Meat Lena

  • Very good food and tasty, rich in vitamins and proteins, very easy to make. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 45 min. 4 servings
  • 2-3 smaller heads of onion/ finely chopped

  • 1 clove of garlic/ finely chopped

  • 1 small head of sauerkraut/ cut into strips 5-6 mm

  • 2-3 bay leaves

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • dry spice / Vegeta

  • black peppercorns as desired

  • 1-2 tsp red ground pepper-allspice

  • dried meat and bacon if desired, to smell nice, ribs, knees, etc.

Preparation:
  1. Rinse the sauerkraut under cold water and strain well.

  2. Sauté finely chopped onion in oil, add finely chopped garlic, then add finely chopped sauerkraut. Stir all the ingredients well (allspice, Vegeta, salt, black pepper) and put them in a pan, add a bay leaf.

  3. Simmer all together for about 20 minutes, adding water occasionally if necessary. Add pieces of chopped dried meat and bacon.

  4. Transfer the ingredients to a baking pan.

  5. Bake everything in the oven 180 °C for about 15–20 minutes, add water if necessary.
