Rump steak with Arugula and Parmesan

  • Rump steak with the addition of rocket, tomatoes and Parmesan, in a simple Italian way. The steaks are very tender and tasty. Preparation is quick and simple! Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 25 min. 2 serving
  • 2 big pieces rump steaks

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • dry spice Vegeta to taste

  • 1 /2 tsp thyme

  • 2-3 Tbsp Olive oil EVO

  • 2 handful arugula

  • 4 Cherry tomatoes/ cut in half

  • Parmesan cheese/ thin slices

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil EVO/ or butter

Preparation:
  1. Wash the arugula and let it drain well in a colander.

  2. During this time, take the rump steak and season to taste. Sprinkle with thyme.

  3. Fry the rump steaks in olive oil until they are golden brown on both sides on moderate heat. Do not prick them with a fork.

  4. While the meat is baking, spread the arugula all over the plate, add the halved cherry tomatoes.

  5. Place the baked rump steak in the middle of the plate and pour the sauce over it.

  6. If you want, you can cut each steak into strips.

  7. Add the thin sheets of Parmesan over the arugula and rump steak, serve.
