This is one of the oldest cakes in Serbia, dating back to 1890. One of the most beautiful and delicious ever invented, and everyone loves it. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: 20 x20 cm, 24 cm mold, 12 servings, simple, total time: 80 min.
Crust:
6 eggs
200 g of sugar
200 g of powdered milk
200 g of ground walnuts
1 bag baking powder/10 g
1 bag vanilla sugar/ 10 g
Cream:
250 g of butter
250 g of cooking dark chocolate
100 ml of sweet cream
100 g of powdered sugar
Preparation:
Crust:
Separate the egg whites and yolks.
Put the egg whites in a large bowl and beat them with a whisk until stiff peaks form.
Mix the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar and mix until they become light and foamy.
Add ground walnuts and powdered milk to the egg yolk mixture and mix until everything is well combined. At the end, add baking powder and mix into the mixture.
Gradually mix with spatula the solid egg whites into the mixture, making sure that everything is well combined.
Pour the mixture in 3 equal amounts into molds with a diameter of 24 cm, which you have previously greased and floured.
Bake each crust separately in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 15 minutes. While the crusts are baking, prepare the cream.
Cream:
Melt the chocolate in a steamer together with the sweet cream, and let it cool a bit.
Then add this mixture to the powdered sugar and butter which you have already whipped up, mix until everything is combined.
Place the cooled crusts on top of each other, spread the cream between the crusts, and finally cover the entire cake with the rest of the cream.
Leave the cake to cool well in the refrigerator before serving.

If you want, you can add a little rum or another alcoholic drink of your choice to the cream.
