Quince Natural Compote

  • This delicacy is made easily, healthy and without preservatives, it is practical to have this compote during the winter because it is refreshing and full of vitamins and minerals. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 70 min.
  • 1.2 kg of quince

  • 1 bag limontus - acid citric 10 g/ or 1 lemon juice

  • 15 full Tbsp of sugar

  • 3 sterile jars and lids

Preparation:
  1. Mix 2 liters of water and limontus or lemon juice in a sauce pan.

  2. Wash the quinces well and cut them in half, remove the pits and impurities, do not peel the skin.

  3. Cut the quince into small cubes, put them in the jars, which you have previously sterilized in the oven at 100 °C. 30 minutes.

  4. Add water and 5 spoons of sugar to each jar.

  5. Close the jars with a sterile cap, shake, and turn upside down, let them stand 10 minutes.

  6. Put a thicker cloth in a bottom and larger pot and arrange the jars, that they do not touch each other and pour water one finger under the lid.

  7. Cook on moderate heat, from the boiling point, cook for another 20 minutes.

  8. Leave the jars to cool in the same water. After that, put it in the pantry.

  9. Compote is ready in 7 days.
