Pasta with Potatoes and Peppers
Pasta with potatoes and ground pepper is regularly consumed in my Vojvodina. Housewives often make it with homemade pasta, and if you don't have time, you can also use store-bought pasta. It is a very tasty and economical dish. And besides, it is easy to prepare. Follow recipe.
Ingredients:simple, total time 35 min. 2 serving
240 g of macaroni
450 g of potatoes
1 head of onion/ finely chopped
3 Tbsp oil
salt and pepper to taste
pinch of dry parsley optional
1 tsp red ground pepper
Preparation:
Finely chop the onion into and dice the potatoes.
Fill the pot with water, add potatoes, a little salt and cook for 23 minutes.
At the same time, take another pot, add water, salt and a little olive oil for your pasta. Wait for it to boil. Cook the macaroni according to the instructions. When they are cooked, strain them.
In a deep pan, fry the onion until it becomes glassy, add the ground pepper, stir for about a minute, then add the boiled strained potatoes.
Fry for a few minutes and stir.
When the potatoes start to fall apart, combine with the pepper and onion, then it's done, add salt, stir and remove from the heat.
Add cooked macaroni to the potatoes, stir, and season to taste.
