Mućkalica Serbian Dish-Mix Shaker

  • Mućkalica is an old dish, characteristic of southern Serbia. It was created by a combination, i.e., thick soups of vegetables and grilled meat. It got its name from the way it is prepared, when there is more insistence on shaking (shaking) the dish about which the dish is prepared than in mixing. Of course, you can't avoid mixing, especially if you prepare it on strong heat sources. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: very easy, total time100 min, 8 serving
  • 1 kg pork neck, fillets

  • 1 kg of chicken fillet or beef from the neck, fillets

  • 10 pieces of fleshy ripe tomato/ steamed peeled and cut into cubes

  • 10 pieces of fleshy red peeled roasted peppers/ cut into cubes or strips

  • 7 onions/ finely chopped

  • 4-5 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 7 cloves garlic/ finely chopped

  • 1 and 1/2 Tbsp red ground hot pepper

  • 1-2 tsp ground hot crushed pepper/ to taste

  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley/ optional

  • 150 g of bacon/ diced

Preparation:
  1. Prepare all the ingredients as described above.

  2. Before baking, salt the meat well and oil it in one bowl. Place to grill or pan. Bake the meat until golden brown on both sides. Remove the roasted meat from the side.

  3. Put chopped bacon in the same pan and fry until golden brown. Then set aside.

  4. In another deep bowl, place the chopped onions, and fry until it becomes softer and glassy.

  5. During that time, cut the roasted meat into cubes.

  6. In the stewed onion, add the grilled fat, roasted cleaned and diced pepper, season (salt, pepper) to taste and mix well. After 10 minutes, add chopped garlic, 1/2 amount of steamed diced tomatoes, roasted bacon with fat, ground hot pepper, sweet pepper, and stir well.

  7. After 15 minutes, add the diced meat and mix everything well. The meat must be dipped in the juice. After 10 minutes, add the other 1/2 amount of the steamed tomatoes, peeled.

  8. Cover the pot and let it cook for about 1 hour. Occasionally shake the pot and stir the ingredients.

  9. When the mućkalica is ready, turn off the heat. If you like to add fresh chopped parsley, it is not necessary. Serve hot mućkalica with corn flour, rice, mashed potatoes or eat it like this if you like it spicy with bread.

Buon appetito!

NOTE: The amount for 4 people goes to 1/2 all the ingredients.
