Kebab in Oven

  • Kebabs in the oven is a very simple and quick recipe, it is good because there is no splatter from the pan, but they are baked on a baking sheet in the oven. An ideal meal for family gatherings and celebrations. The recipe consists of only a few ingredients. The meat is very tasty and delicious! You can serve with salads, baked potatoes or other vegetables. Read the NOTE before preparation in the lower section of the text. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 50 min. 3-4 serving
  • 1 kg mixed twice minced meat/ 70% beef, 30% lamb

  • 20 g of salt

  • 2 tsp white pepper

  • 3 garlic cloves/ minced

  • 1 onion/ finely chopped

  • 3 g of baking soda/1/2 tsp

  • 100 ml of water

Preparation:
  1. When making kebabs, make sure that you always choose that there is a total of 20% fat in the meat per 1 kg — (neck and back).

  2. Mince the meat twice.

  3. Put the meat in a bowl, then add the rest of the ingredients.

  4. Mix the meat well for about 10–15 minutes. Until the ingredients are well combined.

  5. Cover the mixed meat with plastic wrap and let it rest for 24 hours in the refrigerator.

  6. After the specified time, stir in the meat once more.

  7. To make kebabs: I cut a plastic bottle to look like a funnel, maybe a little deeper, and use clean scissors and a flat round meat pestle, with which I press the meat to come out through the neck of the bottle. Cut each kebab into 6 cm lengths.

  8. It will be easier for you as well, with the fact that you have to first oil the funnel where the meat will pass.

  9. This time I joined kebab to kebab, you can make 5 portions or 10.

  10. Place on oiled baking paper in a baking tray.

  11. I used a larger and thinner spatula to transfer them to the baking sheet. If it breaks, just put them back together gently.

  12. Brush the meat with oil.

  13. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

  14. Bake for 15 minutes at the middle level of the oven, reduce the temperature to 180 °C, remove and turn to the other side, bake for another 10-15 minutes, until it is well browned.

  15. Serve with chopped fresh onions, salads and baked potatoes, or purée.

NOTE:

  • You can add ground black pepper to the mixture if you don't have white.

  • It is important that 1 kg contains 20% fat.

  • You can make kebabs only from beef minced meat.

  • You can also make kebabs separately if that's easier for you.

  • If it's easier for you, you can shape kebabs by hand.

  • You can also grill them or grill them.

  • Keep the rest of the meat covered with foil in the refrigerator 2-3 days.
