How to get rid of fruit flies in an instant?
Vine flies are hardworking and persistently return as soon as they smell fruit, whether it's rotten or just ripe. It is little known that they are also attracted to fermented drinks, such as beer and wine, and they often buzz around garbage cans if there is food in them.
Given how easily they multiply, they can sometimes build up so much that it's hard to get rid of them, but there are a few proven effective ways to get rid of them.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is more effective than white vinegar, and all you need to do is pour a small amount into a glass and cover it with cling film. Then secure it with a rubber band or duct tape, and poke a few holes with a toothpick through which the wine flies could enter the glass. They will be attracted by the smell and will quickly move away from your fruit!
Old fruit
Since flies are particularly attracted to rotting fruit, use it against them!
Pour a little vinegar and a piece of overripe fruit into the jar, then make a paper fiche and insert it into the jar, so that the top is inside, i.e., facing down. It will also use just a piece of banana peel!
Vinegar and soap
Pour a little vinegar into a bowl and add three drops of liquid soap or dishwashing liquid. This mixture will attract flies, and they will sink as soon as they land on the surface of the liquid.
Aged wine or beer
If you have some wine or beer left in the bottle, leave it open so that the smell will attract flies. They will enter the bottle, and its narrow neck will trap them.
