Homemade noodles with poppy seeds. This dish is characteristic of where I come from, and it is eaten very often, I don't know if Italians like it, but I know that it is eaten in Vojvodina and that everyone loves it. It is a very tasty and sweet dessert that is enjoyed during the day or in the evening. It is very easy to prepare. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 25 min.
For the Dough:
500 g flour
1 egg and 1 yolk
a little salt
200 ml lukewarm water or
100 g butter or
buy ready-made pasta or tagliatelle dough — 500 g.
Fill:
200 g of ground poppy seeds
150 g of sugar
1 bag vanilla sugar/ 10 g
100 ml of milk
Preparation:
Whisk the dough with flour, eggs, salt, and lukewarm water, make a ball, put it in one place to rest for 30 minutes.
Then roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut them into strips, arrange them in a couple of layers and sprinkle with flour in between and cut into wider noodles or as you wish.
Cook the noodles in boiling water and when they come to the surface, cook for another minute or two. Then rinse them with cold water.
Heat the butter in another pan and add the dough to fry a little.
Pour milk into another small pot, add vanilla sugar, sugar, and stir well. When the sugar has melted, add the ground poppy seeds, stir well and cook, when it boils, remove from the heat.
Add the noodle filling to the other pot, mix with the dough and serve in plates. Serve warm.
