Healthy Beetroot Salad

  • An ideal salad for winter days with healthy additions and against every virus and flu, at the same time good for the respiratory tract. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 15 min.
  • 500 g beetroot

  • 2 garlic / minced

  • 100 ml olive oil EVO

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1. 5 tsp salt

  • 100 ml apple acid vinegar

  • Horseradish to taste

Preparation:
  1. Cut the beetroot as desired, you can cut it into rings, in half or into pieces.

  2. Chop the garlic.

  3. Put everything in a deep bowl.

  4. In another small bowl add 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 and a half teaspoon of salt, olive oil and vinegar, stir well.

  5. Pour over the beets and garlic and mix.

  6. Pour over the beets and garlic and mix.

  7. Place the salad in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

  8. Pour into small salad bowls and add a teaspoon of horseradish to each and mix.

  9. Serve.

NOTE:

  • You can pack the salad prepared in this way in sterile jars with a new lid for winter days.

  • You don't have to add horseradish and garlic if you don't like it, but that makes this salad healthy.

  • Bake the beets in the oven with the skin on for about 40 minutes at 180 °C. Simply check with a fork if they are soft. Wait for them to cool down, then peel them and cut them as desired.

  • My mother always prepared these salads for the winter, including horseradish in combination with carrots, which is very healthy against viruses and opens the airways, and good against all viruses and flu!
