Giant Apple Pie Cinnamon Roll

  • A beautiful and delicious cake that's easy and quick to make. You will need one round pan that is one, a steel pan that can also go in the oven for baking. You will do everything in it. The dough is fantastically soft and delicious. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: easy total time: 100 min; 10 persons

FILLING:

  • 100 g sugar

  • 170 g butter

  • 5 apples, peeled, cored and quartered

  • 185 g softened butter

  • 220 g brown sugar

  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon

500 g SWEET DOUGH:

  • 500 g all-purpose flour

  • 150 ml warm milk/ 45 °C

  • 7 g dried instant yeast

  • 150 g softened butter/ at room temperature

  • 90 g sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 lemon peel grated

Preparation:
  1. In a frying pan, heat the sugar over a slightly moderate heat and turn the pan circularly on the fire so that the sugar caramelizes well.

  2. When the sugar has acquired amber color, add 170 g of butter and mix the ingredients to even out well. After that, add sliced apples, cook for another 5 minutes and remove from the heat.

  3. Arrange apples rounded side down in a high sided cake tin and set aside.

  4. Meanwhile, divide the sweet dough into two parts and each dough roll out to a thickness of 6.5 mm. a large rectangle. Spread with butter.

  5. Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. And sprinkle the mixture over the dough.

  6. Cut each dough rectangle into even long pieces.

  7. Start rolling one from the bottom to the top, take the first roll and place it on top of the next strip, starting again on the bottom and rolling up right to the top, building on the first. Continue with remaining strips until you have a giant cinnamon roll.

  8. Place the dough on the apples you have already arranged and leave the dough to stand for 30 minutes.

  9. Bake the cake at 180 °C for about 30–40 minutes, depending on the oven.

  10. When the cake done, flip over cake onto board, serve and enjoy! Buon appetito!

NOTE: You can do without apples filling in this recipe If you only like cinnamon. Sugar that goes with the apples for caramelization, then you don't need it. All you require is brown sugar, cinnamon for sprinkling and melted butter!
