Fashir Steaks

  • This is how my mom — used to make fashir steaks, and I inherited the recipe from her. I often make them, and they are very juicy and tasty, you can add tomato sauces or white sauce to them, but you don't have to. After forming, you can roll them in flour, or you don't have to, I roll them because that's how my mom used to prepare them. Preparation is quick and simple. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 40 nin. 10-12 fashir steaks
  • 700 g minced meat/ beef and pork

  • 1 red onion/ finely chopped

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic/ minced

  • 1 slice stale bread bath in little milk

  • 1 teaspoon salt and pepper/ or to taste

  • 1 /2 teaspoon dry spice Vegeta

  • 1 teaspoon red ground pepper

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon dry parsley/ or 1 Tbsp fresh parsley

  • 1 -2 Tablespoon pretzels as you like

  • flour as needed/ optional

  • oil for frying

Preparation:
  1. Put the minced meat in a deep bowl, add all the spices and ingredients as described above. Old bread soaked in milk, drain well and add to the ingredients, At the end, add the egg, parsley, and add breadcrumbs if necessary is the mixture is still gooey.

  2. Mix by hand for about 10 minutes until the ingredients are well combined.

  3. Cover the container with transparent foil and leave it in the refrigerator for about an hour. You can also leave it overnight.

  4. After the elapsed time, take a bowl and oil your hands and form smaller patties, arrange them on a tray. If you want, you can pass them through flour, it *is optional.

  5. Pour a little oil, do not overdo it so that it splatters on the sides.

  6. Fry the steaks on moderate heat until they are well browned.

  7. Place them on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.

  8. These schnitzels go well with tomato sauce, white sauce with weed dill, in combination with rice and mashed potatoes, or you can eat them without sauces, they are certainly fantastic and tasty without it!

Buon appetito!

NOTE:

  • You can also prepare this on the grill.

  • Instead of onions, you can use gold onion, shallot, or spring onion.
