Decorative Cheese pies

  • Crispy, delicious decorative cheese pies that are perfect and so delicious! Their preparation is very simple and quick, and they are ready in just 25 minutes. For this pie you will need 12 thin crusts, cheese, yogurt or milk, and a little sour cream, follow the recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 40 min. 6 pies
  • 1 pack thin crust/ 12 sheets

Filling:

  • 200 g crumble cow cheese

  • 200 ml milk/ or yogurt

  • 2 eggs

  • salt as needed

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 50-70 ml oil

  • grated Trappist cheese/ for sprinkle — optional

Preparation:
  1. Beat all the ingredients for the filling into a smooth cream. Add salt if the cheese is not salty.

  2. Prepare an oven tray and place baking paper.

  3. On the work surface, coat the crust with a thin layer of filling, place another crust on top of the crust and spread the filling with 2–3 spoons.

  4. Use your fingers to pinch the skins from all sides so that you get flower leaves.

  5. Add a spoonful of cheese in the middle.

  6. Fold each leaf over a stack of cheese and arrange on a baking sheet.

  7. Repeat this with the rest of the material.

  8. Coat the prepared pies with oil.

  9. You can add grated Trappist cheese or Gouda in the middle as you like, it is optional.

  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 20-25 minutes.

  11. Serve warm.

NOTE:

  • In place of some of the above ingredients, you can use miller cream, Philadelphia, Gouda cheese as a substitute for cheese. Instead of thin regular crusts, you can also use whole wheat thin crusts, I used them in this recipe. You can use Greek yogurt, and you can use soy milk instead.
