These crispy corn fritters are the perfect snack for an appetizer or a quick snack. They have a fantastic taste, you can dip them in your favorite sauce. Quick and easy to prepare, follow the recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 45 min., 2–3 servings
1 cup all-purpose flour/ 120 g
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp white sugar — plus another 1/4 tsp
1 egg — lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk/ 120 ml
1 Tbsp Philadelphia cream
1 (12 oz) can whole kernel corn — drained/350 g
3 cup vegetable oil — for frying/750 ml
Preparation:
In a medium deep bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar and whisk to combine.
In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and Philadelphia cream.
Pour in the flour mixture and stir.
Add the drained corn kernels to the bowl and stir. Leave the dough to stand for 30 minutes.
Add the oil to a large, heavy saucepan or deep fryer. Wait for it to heat up well.
Using a spoon, add the dough to bake.
Fry on both sides until golden brown.
Allow the fritters to drain on a plate lined with a paper towel.
Serve while hot!
