Corn Bread with Spinach and Bacon

  • A beautiful combination of corn flour with bacon and spinach, very tasty and irresistible corn bread proja-serbian traditional appetizer. You can make them like muffins to look beautiful and decorative. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 45 min.
  • 200 ml sour cream for cooking

  • 100 ml milk

  • 100 ml of oil

  • 10 Tablespoons flour

  • 4 Tablespoons cornmeal

  • 1/2 bag of baking powder/5 g

  • salt to taste

and

  • 100 g of boiled spinach

  • 50 g bacon

  • 50 g of Trappist cheese

  • 50 g grated carrots

  • 1 clove garlic

Preparation:
  1. Whisk the eggs, pour in the sour cream, salt the milk and oil and combine everything nicely. Using a spoon, mix both types of flour and baking powder.

  2. When the mass is even, add chopped cooked spinach, bacon, cheese, garlic and grated carrot.

  3. Mix all this and combine well and pour into a greased and floured baking tray.

  4. Bake at 220 °C for about 30 minutes. Serve, hot and cold, with yogurt or sour milk.

NOTE: You can bake both in a muffin tin and in an ordinary 35×40 baking tray.
