These crunchy chickpea donuts are quick and easy to make and have an inflated, light texture. You can eat them as with yogurt or sour milk. They are fried in olive oil, they are extremely healthy fries. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: very easy, total time: 25 min.
1 cup chickpea flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp coriander
1/4 tsp yellow curry powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup hot water
1/4 cup olive oil for frying
Preparation:
Put deeper chickpea flour, salt, baking soda, cumin, coriander, curry powder, garlic powder and onion powder in a bowl and mix it all well and combine.
Add lemon juice and water and stir to combine (it will be a thick, lumpy mixture).
Leave the mixture to stand for 10 minutes so that the chickpea flour gets a chance to hydrate and become even thicker.
Heat a non-stick pan over a low heat and add enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
Using a spoon, pull out the mixture and make the shape of a small burger and press the mixture with your hands.
Bake in oil for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown and swollen.
Place the finished toasts on kitchen paper in a plate to soak up the fat. Serve hot with the addition of some salad or tzatziki sauce.
Buon appetito!
