Chicken meat in honey butter sauce is simple preparing a Chinese meal in just 35 minutes will give you a light meal that goes well with rice or grilled vegetables. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 40 min. 4 serving
4 Tbsp Oil for frying
1 egg
700 g chicken thighs/ cut into bites without bones or breast
1/2 tsp each salt and black pepper
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking powder
Honey Butter Sauce:
3 Tbsp butter/75g
6 small cloves of garlic/ minced
3 flat Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp honey
1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
2 spring onions — green part/ finely chopped
Preparation:
Prepare all the ingredients as described above.
Wash the meat and remove the skin, separate from the bones.
Cut into bite-size pieces.
In a bowl, add egg, salt, pepper, starch, and baking powder.
Beat everything well, then add the chicken pieces and roll well.
Heat the oil over moderate heat.
When it is hot enough, add the chicken pieces and fry for about 3-5 minutes, until they are golden brown.
Put it in a colander with a slotted spoon and leave it to drain well, where you have placed a small pan below it.
Repeat with the rest of the meat.
When you have finished all the meat, return it all together to the pan and fry for another 1-2 minutes until it is well browned.
Scoop out again with a slotted spoon and place them in a colander.
Discard the oil and dry with kitchen paper.
In the same pan, add the butter and wait for it to melt over low-moderate heat.
Add chopped garlic and mix.
When the garlic has released its fragrance, add soy sauce, brown sugar, and honey, mix it all for about 30 seconds on low-moderate heat.
Add the pieces of chicken meat and mix well in the sauce, until everything thickens well. Turn off the heat.
Sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
Chicken prepared this way goes well with rice or some grilled vegetables with addition of soy sauce.
If you like, you can add some spicy addition.
