Simple chicken meat in tomato sauce, in the most economical way. The preparation is quick and simple, if you like it spicy you can add a spicy spice, but it is not mandatory. This dish goes well with boiled potatoes, polenta, rice, gnocchi. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time 1h 30 min, 6 serving
1 kg boneless-skinless chicken breasts/ cut in 6-8 pieces or drumsticks, thighs
5 Tbsp oil/ divided
1 big onion/ finely chopped
4 cloves garlic/ minced
350 ml cups chicken broth
470 g can crush tomatoes/ or tomato paste
130 ml white wine
20 g brown sugar
1 tsp salt
dry spice/Vegeta to taste
50 g flour
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation:
Heat 3 spoons of oil in a pan over medium heat.
Season the chicken with salt, pepper and Vegeta, then roll in flour.
Put in a pan and fry on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per each side. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Add 2 spoons of oil to the iron pan, fry the onion until it softens and becomes transparent.
Add the garlic and simmer for another 30 seconds.
Add the tomato paste, cook for about 5-7 minutes, then add the broth, wine, brown sugar and salt.
Wait for the sauce to boil, then return the chicken meat.
Make sure all the chicken covered.
Cover the steel pan with aluminum foil, bake for 40-50 minutes in the oven to 180°°C.
You can serve this dish with rice, gnocchi, boiled potatoes or polenta.
