Baklava with Plasma and Cherries

  • Baklava is a simple Turkish dessert, and it is made in many ways, and this is a baklava with a cherry that has an excellent taste and smell. It is very easy and quick to make. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 55 min.
  • 500 g of thin crusts/ for baklavas

  • 450-500 g of cherries/ pitted, fresh or frozen

  • 150 g of ground plasma

Spread:

  • 100 g of melted butter

  • 100 ml of oil

Syrup:

  • 400 g of sugar/2 glasses of 200 ml

  • 600 ml of water/3 glasses of 200 ml

  • 1 bag vanilla sugar/ 10 g

  • a little lemon slice

Preparation:

Syrup:

  1. Add sugar and water to a small saucepan and cook over moderate heat.

  2. After boiling, cook for another 10 minutes, turn off the heat and leave the syrup to cool.

Processing:

  1. Pour the oil into a small bowl and melt the butter, then add it to the bowl.

  2. If you use frozen cherries, take them out a day before and put them in the refrigerator or at room temperature.

  3. Strain the cherries from the juice.

  4. Cherries must be pitted.

  5. On the work surface, coat 1, 2, 3, crusts with a mixture of oil and butter with the help of a brush.

  6. On the 3rd crust leave free distance 2 cm, arrange the cherries along the edge of the crust, next to the cherries, apply 2 full of spoons of ground biscuit plasma in a row.

  7. Close the side edges and roll into a roll.

  8. Repeat this with the rest of the material.

  9. When you have done them all, take a sharp knife and cut them into smaller, equal roles.

  10. Brush with butter and oil. Bake at 200 °C for about 25 minutes, until golden brown.

  11. Pour the cold syrup over the cake with the help of a ladle and let it cool at room temperature.

  12. You can also keep it on the terrace if the weather is cold, just cover it with a transparent film.

  13. When they are completely cooled, sprinkle them with powdered sugar or simply eat them as they are.

NOTE:

  • You can make this baklava without biscuits, or you can add semolina instead.

  • if you like cinnamon, you can sprinkle it a little on top of the cherries.

  • Keep the baklava covered in a cool place 7 days.
